Grand Opening of Listermann Brewing Company’s Taproom Kitchen

Friday, January 5, 2024 - Cincinnati, OH

Beginning at noon on Thursday, January 11, Listermann Brewing Company will formally open its kitchen, offering guests a full menu of tastefully curated, seasonal selections. Guests can choose from a variety of shareables, fresh salads, hearty sandwiches, white cheddar mac and cheese, and flatbreads. Listermann Co-Owner, Terrie Ipson, says, “The pretzels with Nutcase Porter mustard and Hop Head NE IPA beer cheese and the Pre-Pro Lager braised pork wings have been a hit with our guests and employees.”

Owners Steve and Terrie Ipson are excited to take over the kitchen and complement the brewery's award-winning beer and mead with a delicious culinary experience. Chef Alain Ratinoff is working closely with Head Brewer, Matthew Daniel, and Meadmaker, Matt Faris,

to inspire and incorporate the taproom’s 18 draft offerings, including beer, cider, and mead.

The Ipsons also look forward to providing guests with a reliable and consistent dining experience. The kitchen will operate under the same hours as the taproom, so guests can expect to have the opportunity to order food when they are visiting. Ipson states, “Our entire staff share the same passion for our product and are excited to provide guests with an exceptional food and beverage experience.”

Listermann is one of Cincinnati’s oldest craft breweries and one of the first three breweries to launch the city’s craft beer boom. The brewery has been producing a variety of award-winning beers and mead since 2008. In 2023, “Chickow! Coconut Fudge” won gold in the U.S. Open Beer Championship, while “Ichor | Zeus” won silver, and “Wealthy Financier”, a Barrel-Aged Cyser (mead/cider hybrid), won bronze at the Festival of Wood and Barrel-Aged Beers.

Listermann Brewing Company to Open New Restaurant Inside Taproom

Friday, August 18, 2023 - Cincinnati, OH

For the first time in the brewery's history, Listermann Brewing Company will be opening its own taproom kitchen. Owners Steve and Terrie Ipson are creating a diverse, high-quality menu reflecting their culinary vision of gastropub fare. The change from having third-party food vendors to now its own kitchen will allow Listermann to gain complete control over its guest experience, an opportunity the Ipson's are excited to leverage to take Listermann into the future.

Since the kitchen opened in 2017, it has hosted three restaurants, most recently, Tickle Pickle. With Tickle Pickle's decision not to renew their lease, Listermann is moving into the kitchen with plans to begin serving patrons by late fall. Tickle Pickle will continue operating inside Listermann's taproom with its full menu until September 8th, after which a limited menu will be available through September until Listermann's kitchen is operational. Terrie Ipson said, "We are grateful to have had a quality food vendor with a loyal following serving our clients. We are now looking forward to the opportunity to provide our customers with a culinary experience that will pair well with our award-winning craft beer and mead."

The brewpub menu will feature small plates including charcuterie boards, baked artichoke asiago gratin with grilled pita and pretzels and Listermann Hop Head beer cheese complimented by a vast selection of salads, sandwiches, mac 'n cheeses, and flatbread pizzas. "Our menu items have been carefully curated to offer something for every palate," said Terrie.

Listermann will offer attendees a taste of the new menu during the brewery's 15th Anniversary Party on Saturday, September 9th. A selection of the new menu items will be available for purchase throughout the day, along with four new, unique anniversary beers and two barrel-aged meads.
